2024 Porsche Cayenne Shows Its Face Before April 18 Debut

Porsche published one last teaser of the facelifted Cayenne alongside a countdown to its official premiere at the Shanghai Auto Show. The company has already shown us the interior of the updated SUV, while photos of the exterior have been leaked through its infotainment system.

The latest photo shows the new headlights with a slightly more angular shape compared to the outgoing model and Porsche’s quad LED lighting signature. More importantly, they integrate the new HD-Matrix LED technology which makes them twice as bright. We can also see the redesigned bumper intakes, completing the evolutionary styling of the front end. Earlier leaks and spy shots have revealed the full-width taillights with futuristic LED graphics and a fresh rear bumper rounding up the exterior updates.

Changes are more obvious inside the cabin, which combines a 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment, and an optional 10.9-inch passenger display. The SUV will also benefit from a 911-sourced steering wheel, new climate controls and air vents, more USB-C ports, fresh upholstery options, plus the traditional stopwatch in the middle of the dashboard.

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne might be a facelift of the third-generation model that was originally introduced back in 2017, but it is a lot more extensive than your average mid-lifecycle update. Besides the refreshed exterior and the overhauled interior, the SUV will benefit from “major revisions” in the chassis and improvements in the powertrains.

In earlier teasers, Porsche hinted at a more powerful plug-in hybrid variant with a larger battery pack which will most likely extend the zero-emission range of the SUV. A highlight of the facelift is the new semi-active chassis with a dual-chamber air-spring suspension setup allowing a wider spectrum of driving modes focused on performance, comfort, and off-road capability.
